Chris Tenga

Chris is a leading global expert on Talent Management and Organisational Development, with over 20 years spend in both practice and consulting. In his illustrious career, he has immensely contributed towards mainstreaming of talent management practices in organisations, and transforming HR functions towards more talent-centric models.

In his current role as CEO at iTMA, Chris leads a global team of passionate talent analysts whose mission is to ‘Develop Global Talent Management Professionals’ whilst also professionalising talent management in organisations. Chris is Technical Lead for the Talent Management Best Practices™ Standard (TMBP™), as well as Technical Lead on the first ever global Talent Management Proficiency Model™ (TMPM™). Chris has authored the Talent Delivery Value Chain (TDVC) Framework, which is now widely used for auditing and strengthening talent management processes across the talent journey maps in organisations. He is also the Technical and Consulting Lead for AXIS Talent Mapping, a web-enabled application for profiling talent and/or high potential. Chris has developed several other usable Tools and Frameworks that are deployed in talent management within the global space.

Chris is a Lead Trainer and Examiner for the Chartered Talent Practitioner™ (CHTP™) Programme; the Certified Talent Practitioner™ (CTP™) Programme; and the Chartered OD Programme™ (CODP™). Chris has authored the 3-Dimensional Mentorship Programme (3-D), the Interviewing and Selecting for Talent Program (ISTP), the Employee Engagement for Managers Program (EEM), amongst other programmes designed to develop the frontline capabilities for talent management. He is a firm believer of winning the war for talent on the frontline i.e. line manager level.

On the OD space, Chris has delivered wholesale, turnkey interventions at Project Leader level. Some of his interventions and mandates include business transformations, change management and workforce transitions, organisational restructuring, HR service model redesign in Merger & Acquisition (including HR due diligence exercises), strategic planning, teambuilding, competency profiling and skills auditing, amongst several others. These have been delivered in the private, government and non-government sectors. Specific industries include telecommunications and ICT, financial services and insurance, mining, agriculture, hospitality, educational services, medical services and manufacturing.
